In our cozy lobby, renowned Stumptown Coffee is brewed fresh and available 24 hours a day. We also have a large assortment of Stash Tea and hot chocolate. Enjoy your cup-o-joe in our lobby with a panoramic view of the Columbia River and The Dalles Dam, or sit by our fire pit on our patio and feel the sun on your face!

If you’re looking to get out and try a local coffee shop, the Holstein’s Coffee Company, is a great place to stop at. Located only 5 minutes down from Celilo Inn, the Holstein Coffee Company is the perfect little place to stop at and take in the local culture of The Dalles.

For our guests that want coffee on the go, Grinders Coffee Shop is a must! This drive-thru coffee shop is located in downtown The Dalles. The menu is extensive, offering a little something for everyone—from coffee drinks to smoothies to teas and juices.

Celilo Inn Wine Now Available!

The Celilo Inn is located in the heart of Oregon Wine Country. With over 30 wineries within 40 minutes of the hotel, guests are never too far from a great glass of wine. Aware of our guests’ penitent for delicious libations, the last few months Celilo Inn staff have been hard at work creating our very own Celilo Inn wine. We are now incredibly proud to be releasing Celilo Inn Sangiovese and Celilo Inn Chardonnay.

After much wine tasting and deliberation, the Celilo Inn staff decided to go with a bold Sangiovese as well as a crisp Chardonnay. Guests will love our Sangiovese that has hints of cinnamon and cherry, making for spicy medium bodied wine–truly unforgettably delicious! Our guests that prefer a white wine won’t be disappointed with our Chardonnay. With scents of crab apple and honey, paired with hints of pear and soft oak, this wine goes down smooth and leaves you wanting more.

Looking For Something To Do This February?

This month belongs to the either beloved or dreaded Valentine’s Day! But whether you love it or hate it, The Dalles has something for you! Over the next few weeks, Celilo Inn guests can partake in a number of fun events. We’ve provided a partial list below of things happening in and around The Dalles during the month of February.

February 10^th: This February help support a great cause by purchasing a ticket to the United Way of the Columbia Gorge benefit concert at the Sunshine Mill. Renowned rock concert violinist Aaron Meyer and guitarist Tim Ellis will be performing. You won’t want to miss this amazing concert or the opportunity to help out a good cause. The concert starts at 5:30pm and tickets can be purchased for $20 at the Sunshine Mill.

February 11^th: Stop by the Anana’s Copa Cabana between 6:00pm and 9:30pm to listen to the sounds of Richard Wilkins Blues Band. Richard Wilkins is a local artist who is loved by all in the Columbia Gorge! Stop by to see a great show!

February 11^th: Looking to give your significant other something unique and hand crafted this year for Valentine’s Day? Stop by the Glassometry Studio to learn how to blow your own glass heart!

February 17^th: The Jim MacMillan Trio is a favorite here in the Columbia Gorge. During the Maryhill Concert Series, Celilo Inn guests could enjoy their music on our patio before the shuttle busses arrived to take them to the concert. Now you can listen to the smooth sounds of Jim MacMillan at the popular The Pines Vineyard tasting room in Hood River. Stop by The Pines between 6:30pm and 9:30pm for delicious wine and great music!

February 18^th-20^th: For all those wine lovers out there, you aren’t going to want to miss the President’s Day Weekend Winery Open House! Stop by any of the wineries in the area for special discounts, releases, foods, music and much more! It’s been a month since we made our New Year’s Resolutions! This means it’s time to evaluate how we’ve been doing. Let us know what your New Year’s Resolution was and if you’ve kept it or not either by posting on our Facebook Wall, Tweeting us or leaving a comment on our Blog. On February 29^th, one winner will be chosen at random. The winner will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card, which they must pick up at Celilo Inn by March 31^st. Local Artists Display Their Work in The Dalles

It’s no surprise that The Dalles is surrounded by beauty. Fortunately for us, Celilo Inn is located in this stunning place. What many people don’t know however is that in addition to the natural beauty; local artists are creating gorgeous works that can be found in the heart of downtown The Dalles! When staying at Celilo Inn, there are a number of places to check out unique pieces from local artists. While exploring downtown, we suggest making a stop at The Dalles Art Center.

The Dalles Art Center is home to over 30 local artists. Each artist has his or her own unique style as well as medium of choice. This makes for truly dynamic and intriguing exhibits that are constantly changing. In addition to local, professional artists, often times the gallery features art work from local schools. Furthermore, since music is a form of art, musicians can be found performing at The Dalles Art Center every so often.

You Don’t Have To Go To England To Enjoy An English Pub!

One of the great things about the Celilo Inn is that it is located near so many gourmet restaurants, breweries and wineries. Furthermore, not only are these restaurants gourmet, many have flavors from around the world, ensuring that our guests never go hungry and can always find something delicious to eat and drink. For our guests that are craving something from over the pond, we have just the thing! The Horse & Hound British Pub located 40 minutes away in Hood River, is a must for people looking for good bar food and even better beers.

With authentic British pub décor, when the Horse & Hound’s patrons step through the door it’s as if they’ve left the Columbia Gorge and entered the pub scene of a small English town. However, if the décor doesn’t convince you of the Horse & Hound’s authenticity, then the beers, ales and bar food will! They even serve Bass Pale Ale, the original British Pale Ale.

Even though the Holiday’s are over, that doesn’t mean that we stop having fun out here in the Columbia Gorge! In addition to enjoying our absolutely stunning surroundings, guests at Celilo Inn can attend a variety of events occurring this month in The Dalles as well as the neighboring town of Hood River. January 17^th: The Columbia Center for the Arts has the privilege to host Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas in concert. Fraser is an accomplished Scottish fiddler and Haas is an amazing cellist.
