Friends of the Gorge Play and stay comming up in April

April 12 & 13 is the Friends of the Gorge Play and Stay Weekend in the Eastern Gorge

Petroglyph Tour & Horsethief Butte Hike, WA

Saturday, April 12, 2014 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Easy, 2-3 miles, little elev. gain  This is a Members Only hike, but you can easily join as a member, just contact Friends at info@gorgefriends.org / 503.241.3762

Washington State Park Ranger Chon Clayton will share indigenous history of the region as we view ancient petroglyphs and rock images, including She Who Watches, at Columbia Hills and Horsethief Butte.

This outing is a part of this year’s Histories & Mysteries Hike Challenge.

Please note that there is uneven footing and rocky areas on the hike at Horsethief Butte.
