Wine Is The COR Of The Gorge
Celilo Inn is proud to be located in the heart of Wine Country. Many of our guests spend their time here going from winery to vineyard, tasting wines and taking in the magnificent views. One of the nearby wineries that we love is COR Cellars.
COR Cellars is located across the river in Lyle, WA and overlooks the rolling hills of the Columbia Gorge. Established in 2005, COR has been producing delicious and award winning wines. COR also boasts their own vineyard which is visible from the tasting room. The winery produces a variety of wines and you are certain to find one that you love. They produce the following wines:
- Cabernet Sauvignon
- Malbec
- Petit Verdot
- Riesling
- Pinot Gris
- Gewurztraminer
The wines are made from a combination of grapes from their vineyard as well as ones purchased from the Columbia Valley.
COR Cellars is open Wednesday-Sunday 11am-6pm.

Celilo Inn Saturday Excursion
We are always looking for new and exciting events and packages for our guests. Over the winter we were busy planning out new summer packages and we are proud to announce our new Saturday Excursion package!
Saturday our Celilo Inn bus will pick up guests at 10:30am and take them to The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center. The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center is a fun, interactive museum that chronicles the history of the Columbia Gorge. The museum is host to beautiful trails, a birds of prey show and much more. Ticket prices are reduced to $8 for guests on the Saturday Excursion.
After an hour the bus will take guests to the Sunshine Mill. The historic Sunshine Mill is fun to experience, not just for the delicious wine but the fantastic renovations done by the current owners. Wine tastings will be offered to guests at the reduced price of $3. Guests can also choose to walk around downtown The Dalles.
The bus will pick up guests at 1:30 from the Sunshine Mill and return back to Celilo Inn. This is a complimentary service that will be offered until September. Seating is limited so be sure to reserve your seat when making booking your room!

Just Fun This June
Summer is almost here and so is Father’s Day! That means there are lots of fun things happening in The Dalles and we don’t want our Celilo Inn guests to miss out on any of them! If you’re planning a trip to stay with us this month, be sure to check out some of the following events:
June 15th: If you’re looking for a laugh you will not want to miss the stand-up comedy of David Crowe. He will be performing at The Pine’s Vineyard tasting room at 7:00pm. If wine, good times and laughter sound like something you would enjoy, be sure to get your tickets; $10 in advance or $15 at the door. You can purchase your tickets straight from the website www.thepinesvineyard.com. The Pine’s is located in Hood River, about 30 minutes from Celilo Inn.
June 16th: Who doesn’t love a good Farmers Market? Come join us for The Dalles Saturday Farmers Market in The Dalles City Park. The market is open 9:00am-1:00pm and is full of delicious produce, activities, music and much more. We guarantee you’ll enjoy this charming Farmers Market. 
June 17th: Make this Father’s Day extra special by taking him for a ride on the Mt. Hood Railroad express! This Father’s Day Mt. Hood Railroad 
will be hosting a Father’s Day Brunch ride through the Gorge. Your dad will be sure to love the food, scenery, train and your company! To book your reservation visit be sure to www.mthoodrr.com today. Mt. Hood Railroad is located in Hood River about 30 minutes from Celilo Inn.
June 20th: With warmer weather in the air, being outside, especially in the evenings can be incredibly enjoyable. Come join us for Music in the Park at 6:00pm. Tumbledown House will be performing and the event is free. This is a fun event for people of all ages.

Summer Starts At Celilo Inn
Well, now that we’ve celebrated Memorial Day the unofficial start to summer has officially kicked off! That means there is a lot in store for guests at Celilo Inn. This June we are offering a number of packages that are great for summertime. We are also excited to be starting our summer concert series! The following is a list of the fun things we are offering this June.
Massage Package
This package is a great to share with your significant other or friend. For only $249 you and one other person will receive one night in our King View Room, two 45-minute massages, one bottle of Celilo Inn red or white wine, two Celilo Inn wine glasses, Celilo Inn robes, as well as late check out. It’s time to get out of the city and unwind!
Wine Tour Package
With Father’s Day right around the corner this is a fun package to treat him with. This package includes one night in the Deluxe King View Room, a guided wine tour of the best and award-winning local wineries and vineyards as well as 2 glasses of wine at check-in all for $275!
Room-ance Package
With the weather heating up, maybe it’s time to heat up your love life! The first package includes one night in the King View Room as well as a Wine Gift Bag which includes a bottle of either Celilo Inn White or Red, two Celilo Inn wine glasses and a box of dark chocolate all for $175! The second package includes one night in the Deluxe King View Room, a four-hour winery tour in the Columbia Gorge as well as the Wine Gift Bag all for $300. Whichever package you go with, you’ll be sure to rekindle that flame.
Concerts
June 16th 6:00pm-9:00pm: Come join us on our charming patio with stunning views of the Columbia River and The Dalles Dam. Solo guitarist Kit Garoutte will be performing. You won’t want to miss him!
June 23rd 6:00pm-9:00pm: Guitarist and vocalist Tim Ellis will be performing on our patio. Come relax with a complimentary glass of wine and music!
June 30th 6:30pm-9:00pm: Come see the winner of Eugene’s Best Solo Performer award. Jesse Meade will be performing on our patio and we guarantee you that this is one show you won’t want to miss!

June 2012 Contest Rules
In honor of our anniversary, this month Celilo Inn will be giving away a two bottles of our very own Celilo Inn wine! To win a our delicious wine let us know why you love The Dalles and the Columbia River Gorge! You can post your responses on our Facebook Wall, Tweeting us or leaving a comment on our Blog. On June 30th, one winner will be chosen at random. Be sure to check back at our Blog, Facebook or Twitter to find out if you’re the winner! The winner must email info@celiloinn.com by July 13th in order to redeem their bottles of wine. The wine must be picked up at the hotel and the winner must be 21+.
